Dear Donors,

It is with a heavy heart that we share tragic news of the loss of Jinan (6), our Kindergarten student, and her sister Oula Mansour (4), who perished in a fire that consumed their tent last night. Their father is currently in the hospital with severe smoke inhalation from trying to save his children. Walid (9), their brother and another one of our pupils, and his mother survived to witness the horror.

Our school community is in mourning, and words cannot describe our loss. As you know, our school goes beyond just education. We provide food and clothing to our students, and today, we are coming together to help the family who have lost more than everything in every way we can. Our students are the poorest of the poor, and no one else seems to care, but we want to show them that we do.
The impact of this tragedy on the students’ lives is immeasurable. Losing their classmates is heartbreaking, and we will do everything we can to support them during this difficult time. We ask for your support, as well.
We have set up this special donation page where you can make a contribution to help the family during this awful time.
